A warm, busy British pub interior in the evening

Chapter one

Why we exist

Every Great CommunityStarts Somewhere

Tee It Up was created for one reason: to give local pubs a competition worth belonging to.

The pub has always been where a town meets. What it needs is a reason to gather again — regular, competitive and worth talking about all week.

Golf is one of the most social sports there is, but for most people it stays out of reach: memberships, tee times, green fees and a lot of spare time. Tee It Up removes all of that and brings the course to the venue people already know.

The night arrives, the room fills, and by nine o'clock there is a table on the wall with your regulars' names on it. Results are published, standings update, and the season carries the conversation into the following week.

We are not selling entertainment for one evening. We are building a competition the town follows — and twelve venues get to start it.

What it gives a venue

Four things a pub cannot buy.

  • Belonging

A team with your venue's name on it. Players who introduce themselves as part of your club.

  • A reason to return

Fixtures, results and standings give people something to come back for every week of the season.

  • Local rivalry

Twelve venues, one league table. The pub down the road suddenly matters in a whole new way.

  • Something to be proud of

A professionally run competition your regulars talk about long after the night finishes.

Once the first season begins, the Founder Clubs are set. Every season that follows will look back at the twelve venues that started it.
